This song is taken from one of my plays 'Easter Stations.' It could be useul when teaching about the Easter story in particular the 'Stations of the Cross' as it captures in song the mixed emotions of the Roman Soldiers, Simon of Cyrene, Veronica, The Weeping Women and of course the anguish of his Mother, Mary, as she witnesses the humiliation and cruelty that her son had to endure.
