A friend of mine was looking for simple Halloween Songs to sing with her infant children and found it hard to find any. This inspired to create one myself and this is what I've come up with. Set in a minor key the music is designed to be a bit spooky but I have tried very hard not to make the words too scary as I know some children are frightened of Halloween. Some children could try to play the semi-tone interval C-Db on the glockenspiel or xylophone in the chorus while everyone else is singing or a piece of music could be created in groups using this sem-tone interval as an ostinato. There are endless possibilities for extended activities but however you use it hope you have a gorgeously ghoulish Halloween!
