This sung version of the 'Red Riding Hood' story skips straight to the part where RRH begins to realise that something is not quite right about her poor bed ridden Granny. Again there is a lot of Red Riding Hood musical material out there but I needed a shorter song for E.Y.F.S. and their topic on Traditional Tales. This charming little song can be used as a starting point for many musical activities not least exploring accelerando as Red Riding Hood runs faster and faster to get away from the wolf. I've also come across an amazing piece written by John Durant called 'Little Red Riding Hood Overture' inspired by Roals Dahl's poem 'Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf,' which I will definitely use as a listening tool.
