Here's a song I've been meaning to write for ages to help KS2 children learn the stages in the life of a river. The chorus is in a lilting compound time and the verse more rhythmic. I've tried to include as much geographical language as possible and used personification in the lyrics. I hope that you find it useful. Pupils could create their own accompaniments in compound time in the chorus. Whatever you do... have fun!
