Children will unwittingly learn the lifecycle of a butterfly as they sing and dance on tip-toes to this gentle little song. Ask the children to create actions to help them learn the words and perhaps allow them to create music with classroom instruments to depict the different stages in the metamorphisis. An excellent addition to a topic on Spring or Minibeasts but could be used at any time of year.
