Written for the Foundation Stage at the beginning of term to link with their topic on 'Beginnings' but can be used with older children as well. The hymn thanks God for the new term and has lots of opportunity for the children to make lots of noise vocally and by clapping and stamping. I wrote it for St. Joseph's School in Hertford but you can substitute your own school name. I hope this adds another dimension to your beginning of term assembly.
