Today's the Day

This song was written for a Year 1 class in Abel Smith School Hertford and I was amazed how quickly the children picked it up. I am only using verse one with these littlies atm and currently they are echoing me in the chorus but I have no doubt that soon we will be able to sing the song with one half being callers and the other responders. As well as selecting sound sources to accompany this song, the children could create compositions and improvisations about the weather and the different idioms of the music from England, Ireland, Scotland Wales as well as having fun dancing too. Hope this song works for you as well as it is working for me.
