This is a Game-Song written for the reception class at St Joseph's School in Hertford to link with their topic on eggs. The song reveals some of the animals that are hatched from eggs and in the chorus a plastic egg with the animals inside is passed around. Whoever holds the egg when the music stops can open the egg and hatch one of the animals. The children absolutely loved standing in a circle performing actions in the verse then sitting down and passing the egg around as the chorus was sung. You do have to be well prepared with an opening egg (I used a Cadbury's Mini Egg Gift Egg) and a small plastic lizard, platypus, chicken, snake, crocodile and fish, but it is well worth the effort. Hope you have fun!
